Maybe we went on an off night, but my entire family hated it when we went. Probably the only bad dining experience I’ve had with Disney, and this Oct will be our 5th trip. It was very bland and service was very slow.
I have to say, I was very skeptical of this one. I basically made the reservation for my husband and my aunt who were both dying to try it and b/c I will be adventurous in DIsney World. Me and my husband had Sirloin con Chilaquiles, which was GREAT! My dad had the Mahi Mahi and he loved it. My daughter had the kids tacos and ate all of them. My aunt wasn’t too impressed with her meal but I cannot even remember what she ordered. The only thing I was not impressed with was my dessert which was the crepe. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, we waited a bit but that was b/c we were late I believe and we were a large party. I really enjoyed it, was so happy I tried it b/c now I know I will go back there again for sure! Excellent meal! Don’t be afraid to try this one, it really is good!
This restaurant is a MUST for our family every time we visit. We’ve probably dined there over 25 times! I just love the atmosphere and the food is fabulous. However, you need to book your reservation early. From our experiences, they fill up fast!
everyone is right, this place is beautiful. our waiter was nice and attentive, and the food was pretty good. you’re there for the atmosphere, though, not the good. make sure, when you go, that you don’t let them seat you next to the bathrooms, because they are RIGHT next to some poor people’s tables, and people come and go by them constantly. if there’s a wait for your table, they let you take your little ones on the boat ride, and if your buzzer goes off while you’re on it, they’ll hold it until you’re back. very convenient!
The atmosphere is really great. My kids loved it too. They loved our waiter who explained all the different dishes and helped them decide what they wanted to try. The food was outstanding. Real true mexican food beyond the tacos, burritos etc. We ate there before the remodel and loved it. Not sure what it would be like now but I can’t imagine the food not being outstanding.
This has always been one of our must-do places, even during periods when it’s been “down”. Luckily it’s definitely “up” again. We had lunch here last month and all 9 of us thought it rocked! Our ages ranged fro 7 to 59 and we all loved it! Yum!
While my kids weren’t overly crazy about this place, me and my husband just loved it! It was a calm environment and we really enjoyed the service and food. Not sure if we’ll go back or not, guess it depends what the kids say, they seem to control our disney trips ;)
We just ate there in May. It was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of food and great quality. It will definitely be on our list for the next trip. Atmosphere was relaxing. Mexico was our favorite country.
We’ve been there a few times and it has always been great. Definitely a must do for first time Disney goers! Just the atmosphere alone helps you to relax after all the walking.
The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. You get to sit by the “river” and watch the boats on the ride go by. It seems like you are outside. The whole inside of the pavilion is dark and the sky is painted on the ceiling. Their menu used to be better. They always had combination dinner dishes that were delicious. But with that said, it still tastes good nowadays, just the selection is not as nice. It’s pricey. You’re paying for the Disney ambiance after all.
Any vegetarians have experience with this restaurant?
This is one of our favorites at Disney! We went for the Food and Wine festival last year and they were so nice to us-even better than usual. I have been a ton but my boyfriend is from up north so it was his first time.
The atmosphere is amazing and a great retreat from the park. It’s really dark and nice and cool. Also usually when I go it’s never really busy-it’s like a hidden gem of Epcot. Plus the ride inside is relaxing too.
I have Celiac Disease and can’t eat gluten and when we walked in (no reservation-big deal for us food allergy folks) they asked us right before they sat us if we had any restrictions! So cool! The chef came out and described what was on the menu that was gluten free and helped us select dishes and they were wonderful. I had a chicken taco plate with a sour cream sauce and my boyfriend has some beef taco dish the chef made. My boyfriend cleaned his plate so the waiter brought him out a plate of churros (not gluten free but my boyfriend can eat ANYTHING) for no charge. I ended up writing a letter to Disney on the service at this restaurant and we already have plans to eat there again next year on our first official Disney vacation as a full annual pass holder! Woohoo! One of my top recommendations!
