I want you to learn how to grow your own fund too! If you are new to couponing, start with the Getting Started Couponing Series, followed by the How To Start Your Fund series. Remember you can use these savings principles to save for anything you want from Disney trips to paying off debt to buying a new television. How long did it take you to earn that much from Survey Savvy?
Kerri says
Awesome deposit, and congrats on officially being over the half-way mark!
I booked my Disney trip for 2013 last week, and we are SO excited! We’re going over Spring Break (MArch 10th-15th), driving from Dallas…I figure I need to have about $4k in my fund ($2600 for the package plus insurance and then $1500 or so for travel there and back and souvenirs, etc). This month, I managed to put away over $800 ($400 in transfers from my checking account…$65 in craigslist sales, $250 from selling off some of my “extra” sterling silver flatware, and DH brought home $100 in amex gift cards that he earned through work)! It was a stellar month…and I also made my first purchase on the Disney Visa, so one of these days, a $200 Disney gift card will arrive for us.
It never seems like any one deposit really adds that much to the account; I certainly had no concept of how much I’d been able to sock away. But it truly does add up!
All that said…I’m not to $3k yet. ;) But hopefully, I have plenty of time to get there!

Kristen,
Is Surveysavvy as frequent or as good as Pinecone Research or Mysurvey? I’m leery because of some in the past.
Do they bombard you with junk, and then you find that you never qualify for very many actual paid surveys? How many surveys and about how long did it take to get that check? Thanks
Shannon says
I have a similar question. I have signed up for dozens of these survey sights and have never seen a penny from any of them. I’ve spent countless hours taking surveys to just be entered into prize drawings or get so far and get stopped when I no longer qualify to go further. Or, there is a catch for having to get the prize or any compensation for your time.
Kristen, are you getting these checks as payment for promoting these sites on your site/blog? I am stunned by your $126.55 check. How many surveys could that have truly been? Like I said, I have taken dozens – many more than I can count and have never received anything. What are you doing that is earning you this much cash?

i just sent off to get a $20 from Toluna. it took me about 6 weeks to earn a $20 check and i did countess surveys as well. that is the only site i use to get checks i just use toluna and swagbucks. i get a ton from swag bucks every month and even paid fro most of my christmas last year with them and plan on paying for this years christmas as well. hope that helps however i do not know how she gets that much! its impressive really

We are getting started again. We just now are getting our fuel effecient vehicle back from the shop (My engine blew up in December and It has taken this long to get it done right). So we are getting back on track, had to push our trip back a little because I used the savings for the engine and the extra $100 a week we were using in gas in another vehicle. But I have been saving my Disney cards still and have $70 there. If my estimates are right we need $6,000.00 to drive from Tulsa, OK to Florida and stay for 2 weeks. Wish me luck, lol.
