It was a great 2 weeks for the Disney fund.
$1.21 in spare change
$30 in Target and Publix gift card (took $30 out of our grocery fund and spent these gift card in it’s place. See more about how I add gift cards to my fund).
$25 Disney Store gift card that I purchased with what was left from our gas budget last month (yay for staying at home)
$15 for mileage reimbursement from my husband’s job
$100 from the budget for my son’s tuition. We thought we would have to pay $200 for May but were surprised to find out it was only $100.
$28.15 difference from the power bill (we budgeted $175 and we came in under that, yay!)
$199.36 added to the Disney fund. $1217.84 saved since November 12th, 2011. My goal is $3,000. Likely going in Jan 2013.
I want you to learn how to grow your own fund too! If you are new to couponing, start with the Getting Started Couponing Series, followed by the How To Start Your Fund series. Remember you can use these savings principles to save for anything you want from Disney trips to paying off debt to buying a new television. As the great Walt Disney said “If you can dream it, you can do it!”
I also am (impatiently) awaiting your next update!
HAHAHA sorry y’all. The reason I haven’t updated is because I have been having issues with the widget on the sidebar and I was waiting on it to get fixed.
I agree with the last 3 posts above. Can’t wait to see your next deposit into your fund!
I’m with Shirley! Please update soon. I love your site, but this is my favorite part!

When are you going to update this posting…..I’m so excited to see how your fund has grown since May 2. Can’t wait to hear! Thanks
I love that you are so disciplined with how you use your money. I just talked with my husband this afternoon. We are buying a home and will be saving at least 400.00 a month. I typed up a strict budget that still allows for fun and I am going to do everything to stick to it. fun fun and we are going to start in September using our disney credit card to collect money just for vacation and nothing else.
That’s awesome Kristin! I just started saving using coupons for the month of April and managed to save $84, you are an inspiration!
These are my favorite posts, too!! I’ve been saving since June 1, 2011 for a Disney trip starting May 25th. We have just over $2k. Most of mine is from selling kids stuff at consignment sales and selling some gold jewelry I never wore. The kids & I LOVE to count out our fund.
Way to go Kristin!!!
I have been waiting and checking daily for two weeks for this post. It was definitely worth the wait!!! yay you!!!
Awesome, too buried in debt to start a fund, really enjoying watching yours grow!
Amazing and inspiring! I wish I could get my husband on board with saving!
Wow that is a great week and a wonderful deposit to the fund!!! Im trying to stick to my budget so I can start a fund. You site and posting are very helpful. Thank you
WOW great job! We save ours in a HUGE coca-cola bottle that way we do not know how much we have until we cash it in (or bank cashes in coins for free). I would say we have a thousand in coins so far?!
That’s awesome!
Wow amazing week. You make me envious!
Awesome! It’s so fun to watch you save up and plan!
