Pandora – World of Avatar is opening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 27, 2017. Be prepared to explore and learn about this new land, the restaurants, rides including height requirements and more. Also read about a special preview happening on April 8-9, 2017.
Disney wants to give guests extra time to explore Pandora – World of Avatar after its opening. Pandora – World of Avatar opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park on May 27, 2017. On this day, nightly Extra Magic Hours will also begin.
The Extra Magic Hours will be for Disney World Resort guests nightly from 11PM- 1AM from May 27 through July 4. Valid admission to the park and Resort ID required. Also note, the extra magic hours are for Pandora only and does not include entire Animal Kingdom park.
Walt Disney World Annual Pass Holders will be able to attend an exclusive sneak peak of Pandora- World of Avatar.
However, 2 dates have been set for Disney pass holders to attend this new land. The two preview dates are April 8 and April 9, 2017.
Disney’s Pandora – World of Avatar will open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park on May 27, 2017. Now guests have more information on the rides available with height requirements and more details being released.
Flight of Passage will have a minimum height of 44″ tall for your chance to ride a banshee. Fastpass+ will be available for Flight of Passage.
Navi River Journey will have no height restrictions, this slow river ride is great for everyone. Fastpass+ will be available for Navi River Journey.
Satu’li Canteen in Pandora is a former RDA mess hall, find healthy options with lots of flavor. Fresh vegetables and vegetarian options will be served and more.
Pongu Pongu meaning “party party” in Na’vi will be a quick service option run by an expat who never left Pandora. Be refreshed with beverages (including adult beverages) that are outer worldly. This location also promises a sweet snack you wont find anywhere else.
Both Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu will open on May 27, 2017 the day Pandora- World of Avatar opens.
Satu’li Canteen is making ordering easy by being the first Disney Restaurant to introduce Mobile Ordering. Guests may skip the lines and use the My Disney Experience app to order by selecting, customizing and paying. Once you arrive at the restaurant, tap the “I’m here” button in the app. Next, guests will receive an alert in the app their order is ready, guests may then head to the pick up counter.
Also note, while Satu’li Canteen will accept the dining plan, Mobile Ordering is limited to credit card payments at this time.
Introducing the Na’vi Translator at Pandora – World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Na’vi translator will be helpful for visiting guests since the Na’vi have no known written language.
The translator comes with a set of 15 cards to use for translation and the device can easily be clipped to a backpack or belt. Separate 8 packs of cards will be sold in addition. The translator even lights up at night for evening exploration.
