Disney has made a commitment to work with the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund (LRF). They will help address the crisis facing lions and other African wildlife through The Lion King Protect the Pride campaign. Their goal is to double the number of lions in the wild, by 2050! Disney has donated more than $1.5M to this effort so far, between partners and other efforts they hope to double that donation.
Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom can help by simply riding the attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris, from 7/19-25, 2019. For each guests who rides during those dates, Disney Conservation Fund will donate $2 (up to $350,000).
Another way to help, is to purchase special Lion King products.
