If you have an early 2017 trip planned to Walt Disney World, take note of this date- January 9. The way you enter the Magic Kingdom park in the morning will be different starting January 9, 2017 if you are hoping to catch the opening show. Instead of waiting outside the gates to see the opening show, guests will be allowed to enter the Main St USA area of Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
At opening time, look up to the Castle Forecourt Stage for a new opening show to welcome guests to the park. Guests can expect to see some favorite characters, a Royal Herald’s proclamation and more.
It is rumored this switch is just temporary while the railroad at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is under refurbishment. No end dates have been stated.
