Great food and so much to chose from. It kept us full well past lunchtime. Mad hatter is a blast and Alice warned us about cakes that shrink the kids. I loved meeting Mary Poppins. My in-laws were with us and not much into Disney but everyone loves tigger and Pooh bear so they really got into it. I highly recommend it. Also to see the hotel is a treat too.
My favorite character breakfast hands down. We went so my husband could meet Mary Poppins, he was not impressed but his mood quickly changed when he got to meet the Mad Hatter and Alice! The food was excellent, I kept finding myself going back again and again. And even though it was full and we were over an hour late for our reservation (we overslept) they still let us in 15 minutes after arriving, more then I can say for Chef Mickey. While we had already met Pooh and Tigger on multiple occasions by this breakfast there were still fun and interactive. I can not express how much I liked this breakfast, I’m a foodie, and as far as buffet breakfasts go this was the bees knees.
I just have to say thanks for all the great reviews. We’ve never eaten here and were thinking of booking for breakfast on my dd’s 16th bday trip in a little over a year. As we live less than an hour away, I think we may have to just drive over for breakfast one morning as you guys make this sound like the best!
We have been here once (breakfast) and thoroughly enjoyed it! My favorite was the cold strawberry soup. We enjoyed the characters and our favorite was the Mad Hatter. He was hilarious!! When some guests came into the restaurant (evidently through the wrong door) he had us all in stitches because he was making fun of their mistake. I was literally crying I was laughing so hard! This dining experience is different, delicious, and definitely worth the money. In a world of elegant, well-mannered princesses even WDW needs a loud and “rude” character to stir up laughter! Definitely give 1900 Park Fare a try!
we dined at 1900 park fare for the first time on our 2011 trip.I must say that the food was really good and Mary Poppins,Winnie the Pooh & Tigger were great! However Alice in Wonderland & the Mad Hatter were extremely slow in getting to our table(the other characters had made 3 rounds before they even got to us once). We had finished our meal and had already paid before they arrived to see us.
My family and I loved the breakfast here at 1900 Park Fare! We planned this on our last day and then hit the parks. It was a great meal and we were all full! My 4 year old loved the cereal bar, the fresh fruit, and the desserts! It is a mish-mosh of characters, but they were great and spent loads of time with my 3 children, especially my 7 year old son, who had had enough of princesses after the week with his two sisters! I loved sitting down, taking our time, and eating until we were full. Great waffles, omelets, and bacon! I’d love to try dinner there on our next trip.
OK sorry just realized it was for the breakfast not the dinner. OH well still agood one!
When we went since we had the free dining plan we let each of the boys pick one place to eat dinner. So when it came to Noah (he was 7 at the time, he also has autism) he chose 1900 park faire. For some reason he just LOVES Cinderella (maybe becuase moms name is CIndy?..lol maybe!) Even when he was little he would just light up when he would see her. When he found out that she was a character there he chose there. (probably would’ve loved the one in the MK but just couldn’t use 2 dining options for that.. maybe next time) The older boys just rolled thier eyes but felt better when I told them there was prime rib..lol. So we get there, us and my 4 boys among all these pretty much all girl familes. We chose the first seating which was I believe 415 or 400. We get seated, and in comes Cinderella, oh I have never seen him so excited to see someone before! As she came over to our table she said “wow a table of princes we don’t see that very often!” I told her that Noah had picked there to eat because she was one of his favorite people! She smiled and thanked him, signed books and took pictures. Then they do a waltz where Cinderella and the Prince pick out someone to dance with. SHe chose Noah first. He said “YES!!!” he dancedd with her (with mama shedding some tears..lol) She told him ‘thank you for a lovely dance” and kissed him on the cheeck. He would NOT let me wash his cheeck off. SO the rest of the night he walked around with a lipstick mark on his face!!
Also one of the wicked stepsiters came over for a visit. SHe was ready to take a picture when we realized we were missing a boy. HE was up at the buffet. I said “wait le tme get Nicholas” she screams “NICHOLAS GET OVER HERE AND TAKE THIS PICTURE.!!!” We laughed so hard becasue we could see his face and he just had a look of panic on his face!! We got it all on tape too just to remind him!
We thought the food was good and liked the food the best out of the other 2 we did. (character meals we did Crystal Palace & Chef Mickeys also) It was our 2nd favorite besides Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom.
MAN…having WDW withdrawls now…lol hoping to get back next spring!
Food better than Chef Mickey also less expensive!
We ate here twice on our visit in March – and we loved it! The food was fantastic, the characters were friendly and my girls all loved it (even my 17 year old!) This was by far the best breakfast food we had while we were in Disney – and we had a lot of good food! Even the pickiest eaters will be happy here – plus the chef was incredibly accommodating with my daughter’s food allergies.
We booked a brunch and it worked out great. We started with a light breakfast in our room, hit the park nice and early and took the mono-rail over to the Grand for our meal. By the time we got there we were hungry and ready for a break! Don’t miss this
I need help! I want to do a character dining! I’m alittle confused as this is my first disney trip….I should have already made reservations! We are going in 44 days. Which character dinings are easy to get into and also, do any of them take the dining plan? Is it true you can use more than one quick service credit for a table service meal?
believe they all take the disney dining plans…you need to call disney dining reservations and find out what is available maybe today….if you have to you can always cancel without any problems (ie cash outlay)….just tell them you have disney dining and they will help you…have a great time
I do believe when you call the dining reservations number they will help you plan all of your meals and they can make recommendations for you too. :) (Disney Magic is amazing before you even get there!) I say this because we were supposed to take a trip a few years ago and at the last minute it got cancelled. And the Disney Dining people were really helpful in setting it all up for us. Soooo… I would give them a call ASAP. :) Have fun on your trip! (We are FINALLY going in August)
Thanks so much for the info! I’ve booked Cape May Cafe and I hope its as great as it sounds :)
We LOVE 1900 PF for Breakfast! We just got back a couple of weeks ago and it’s better than ever! The characters really take the time with your children and you don’t feel rushed at all. The food is great! Strawberry soup, wonderful pecan sticky buns, fresh fruit, made to order omlet station and SO much more! Yum! We loved it!
This was not our favorite character meal. The character interaction was great, but the food was not that good. Since it is more expensive than other character meals, I expected great on both counts. I don’t think we’ll do it again.
I really find the face characters (and the fur ones) on the top of their game at 1900 Park Fare. It’s well worth going for just the interaction. Then there’s the strawberry soup; it gives me such a sugar rush that I practically bounce, like Tigger, into the Magic Kingdom.
This was by far our favorite character meal! We went for breakfast there in summer 2008 (girls 2 and 5). Perfect b/c had Mary Poppins, Alice, & Mad Hatter for older and then Tigger & Pooh for younger. The characters were AWESOME!!! Alice, Mary, and MH not only interacted with the tables… they interacted with each other putting on a “show” of sorts. My girls had matching sunglasses that were sitting on the table. Alice put a pair on and yelled across the room for MP to come get the other pair on. They carried on about them for awhile. My 2yr old was petrified of “masked” characters that year if they got within a few feet of her (from a distance was fine). She shrieked when Pooh & Tigger got near (and even went under the table a couple times). Mad Hatter found this funny and came over and playfully “made fun of” her screaming. We were laughing so hard. Food was great too!
Great food and the characters all come one by one to the table. They take a family picture which you can choose to buy. Get an early reservation-we were in the first group to go in and were finished early and off to Magic Kingdom. It is a buffet so there is plenty of food. Little ones 2 and under can eat for free. Bring some baggies to take some fruit and muffins for a snack later-this is good for all buffets. My 12 year old chose this one for the characters that are there so it is great for all ages.
Please don’t recommend on public blogs that people should steal food from buffets.
Our family loves 1900 park so much I booked it twice next month for breakfast and once for dinner. I even went crazy and bought my daughter an Alice costume. We love the characters! The Mad Hatter has the best interaction. He’s loud and funny. Don’t get up to get food. You may find that he’s in your seat!
This is a must-do for my family. We began taking Disney trips when my daughters were 5 and 7…and they loved character meals. Now that they are 16 and 14, getting them to do a character meal or two can be challenging….however, they both love 1900 Park Fare. We first tried it because my eldest is a huge fan of both Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland. Great character interaction, the Mad Hatter really plays it up with the girls. The food is, in my opinion, the best of any WDW breakfast buffet. We have always had wonderful service, from the CM who checks us in to the CM bringing the drinks and checking on us…they are just all very friendly. As with most Disney buffets, it does get loud and crowded, but it still is very enjoyable. I am sure my girls will keep this one on their list of must-dos for as long as Disney offers it.
