1-5. From my reader Sherri….Actually, my family LOVES doing the matching shirt thing…makes it easy to keep track of each other!! Here are some of ours over the last couple of years…most we’ve made, a couple that we bought that way….
6-8. From my reader Cindy… Here are a couple pics of the type of shirts we wear when we go on vacation. Not just to DIsney but anywhere. We always have most days where we match or have some sort of theme. Makes it easy to remember what people are wearing when you get separated from them. I always did this with my oldest 3 when we went places so if one would get lost I could hold up one of the others and say “He looks just like this” My boys all looked a lot alike when they were little. These are the type of shirts we did when we went last time: We had 2 different colored shirts for 2 days that said “Biegel/Teeple family vacation to Walt Disney World 2010” One set of them had on the back for each member of our family~I am the papa, I am the nana, I am the mom, I am the dad, I am the Biggest Brother, I am the Bigger Brother, I am the Big Brother, I am the Baby Brother. I made them using T-shirts I found on sale for $1 each, and Iron on transfers that i made with my computer. We also walk every year in an Autism Awareness Walk a Thon so we always wear those, We also each picked out our favorite baseball teams and each wore a shirt from those. We didn’t limit our “matching” theme to just our shirts, we all dressed as toy story characters for the Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween party. I even made my parents Mr & Mrs Potato Head costumes. If we don’t have matching shirts we at least try to wear the same color shirts. Makes it easier to spot in the crows of people. Sometimes it is hard when we go to match everyone because we always travel with my parents too so to find matching shirts for 8 people from sizes 2T-2XL can be hard!! Hope you find this email fun and maybe gave some people some ideas!
9-10. From my reader Stacy… These are the shirts we made before our last Disney trip Oct 2010. I wrote on your blog that I used a cricut machine and my disney cartridge to cut out the mouse head and our names witht the Disney font. Then I bought the t-shirts and spray dye at walmart in the craft section. I laid the cut- outs on the shirts and we each sprayed our own shirt. Once you take the cut- out off you have a mickey shirt! We should be able to wear theese again in Dec when we go- except for the baby! I’ll have to make her a new one.
