Boatwright’s Dining Hall Restaurant at Port Orleans Resort is a table service. Entrees include Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, Pasta with Shrimp and more.
Tidbit: Even though this restaurant is located at a resort, anyone can eat here. If you are driving, just let the gate keeper know you have a dining reservation and he will let you park. If you are taking Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus from your resort to a park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the bus for the resort where the meal is located.

Just ate here for dinner on our Feb 2011 Disney trip. We stayed at the nearby Port Orleans and took the ferry boat over to Boatwright’s. No reservations – just walked on in with no problem. Decor reminded me of a maritime museum – which I liked. The menu boasts on their Southern Cooking which was warm, good, comfort food. Hubby had the Slow-roasted Prime Rib and I had the Grilled Tenderloin Medallions. Both were very tasty with a lot of flavor. The Pecan Pie came highly recommended but hubby and I decided to go rogue and order the Chocolate Cake for him while I had the No Sugar Added Lemon Pound Cake. Both desserts were a perfect ending to a good meal. The food portions were large and I ended up taking half my meal back to the hotel.
This restaurant is really nice and convenient especially if you are staying in Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter
This might have been one of my favorite dinners at Disney World. The food was so good! It is simple decor inside and just feels comfortable. Our service was great and the kids even enjoyed the meal. The pecan pie for dessert was my absolute favorite dessert at WDW. I would dine here everytime. We love Port Orleans Riverside overall and you can end dinner with going out back and taking a carriage ride through the Port Orleans resort. Very romantic… or fun with two little kids along!
I loved Boatwright’s. It wasn’t busy and was able to get quickly without reservations. we liked it so much, we canceled our adr in Epcot one night to eat here again.
We like boatwrights. We usually stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter, so it is a nice walk to the restaurant. The ambiance is nice, as you are right on the dock and there is a large water wheel outside which young children love to watch. The food is tasty, and the desserts are memorable. I probably would not make the trip over to Boatwrights if we did not stay at the French Quarter or RIverside restaurant. Likewise, I probably wouldn’t dine here if I was not on the dining plan.
We always stay at Port Orleans, so we eat at this restaurant several times during our stay. There is rarely a wait, and there is a great variety of food choices. Everyone in our family is happy!
We ate at Boatwright’s Sept 17th, 2011. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. I had the pasta with shrip and it was delicious. My dessert was pecan pie with ice cream. As a GA girl, I can say it was very good. Often restaurants skimp on the pecans but this pie was very good. Unfortunately, the cornbread was sweet. My only real complaint about WDW food is that there is no Sweet Tea. Only unsweet, eeewww.
Boatwright’s is a great place. Last time I was at Port Orleans- Riverside, they were not serving breakfast. They used to have the BEST french toast. If anyone knows, please let me know if they have breakfast service again. I have not had lunch or dinner there. Hoping to go back in May 2012!!
We LOVE Port Orleans Riverside! We have stayed there 5 or 6 times…highly recomend it!
LOVE Boatwright’s!! They have a great breakfast…the sweet potato pancake is to die for!! Don’t mind me I am having withdrawal sympton…I would give my eye teeth to go to WDW right now. :'(
We ate at Boatwright’s in June of 2011. It was wonderful. The smoothie was absolutely delicious. All of the food really had a “home-Cooked” meal taste. The only thing we didn’t really care for was the mac n’ cheese. =)
We at Boatwright’s in 2008 when they served breakfast. This was one of our favorite places to eat. The Mickey pancakes were absolutely wonderful. It was rarely crowded, the service was great, and the food was out of this world. We never ate here during lunch or dinner. I would definitely go back if they started serving breakfast again.
We love boatwrights! We love the atmosphere of Riverside in general! We either stay at riverside or French quarter so we eat at boatwrights every trip! The service is always great, the food is great and it’s never crowded and noisy! Last time we ate there my husband got the prime rib (it’s what he gets every time so it must be good) and he said it was the best prime rib he had ever eaten! I got the BBQ pork chop on cheesy grits and it was awesome! I can’t wait to go there our next trip!!!
