My experience:
We ate here one morning. Their waffles have characters from the different themes instead of Mickey. They were still good, just not as good as a Mickey waffle.

We stayed at Art of Animation in mid July in the Nemo Suites. Both the Nemo and Cars sections were open. We loved having the Landscapes of Flavor restaurant in the resort where we could use our quick service meal plan. Like any of the quick service restaurants, the menu is slightly limited but has about 20 choices. We probably ate lunch/dinner at the resort twice and had no problem getting a meal for the kids. They have typical kid friendly meals like burgers, pizza, meatball subs and pasta. Mine also tried the create your own salad option. The surf and surf burger was recommended to us by an employee in Holywood Studios and it was delicious. My husband, the early riser took advantage of the breakfast meals. You can get carry out boxes and bring meals back to your room or eat in the dining room. The dining room was never more than 1/4 full probably because everyone is enjoying the parks. :D The restaurant is open from 6am-midnight every day. We also got free refillable mugs with our package. When the restaurant was not open, you could still refill these out by the pool which is open 24 hours. The floor staff was very friendly and would each have a stuffed animal with them at all times. The kids loved seeing Crush sitting on someone’s head or Squirt in their pocket. It encouraged conversation with the kids and adults alike.
We stayed at AOA a week after the Nemo resort opened. Since only one resort was open, the lines for food were always small and had plenty of tables open at all times. I’m sure when they’re all open, it’s going to be long waits for food and tables. The folks preparing the food were quite slow, since the menus were new and unusual they were still learning what to put on the plates. They really strive for healthy options, lots of fresh fruits and veggies BUT my kids love the chicken nuggets and they were no where to be found! After a few days the kids get tired of the same options, pizza and pesto bread were the only things they liked and we did venture to other resorts to eat but since it rained so much we were stuck at the resort quite a bit and the biggest complaint from quite a few people was the lack of kid-friendly food. We suggested they add the nuggets and a few other folks did the same. Maybe in the future they’ll add em’. Also need to remember to pick up the silverware right at the end of the registers – they’re focused on earth-friendly so no plastic-ware to be found.. Only in the mini- kitchens in suites. If u go, keep an open mind and be prepared to try new foods..
We stayed at Pop on our trip in June. One night we walked over for dinner and to check out AoA. The food was wonderful! I had the Tandoori chicken w/paneer and acorn squash. Hubby had Mongolian beef w/cauliflower. And its served on real plates with actual silverware!
