We often eat here. We can normally find a seat, the food’s not bad, and I love being able to get drink refills! :)
The food here is pretty good for a counter service. The burger topping station is a good addition to add some extras to a fairly simple food. Its air-conditioned and found a table pretty quickly even in June. Would definitely recommend for a quick-lunch, even though Pizzafari will always be our favorite :)
After a huge buffet Donald’s Safari breakfast at the Tusker House; we skipped lunch, and had dinner at the Restaurantosauros. The angus burger was juicy and delicious. We’ve eaten at Cosmic Ray’s Cafe (MK) one too many times… and the burgers at Restaurantosaurous are the best “counter service” burger in the entire WDW. My husband had the veggie burger with sweet potatoes fries and he was pleased (trust me – this man is hard to please in Disney). My daughter had the salad; my son has the cheeseburger, and we all topped it off with Cheesecake in a Glass. :) No one complained. The food was better than fair – it was GREAT. I highly recommend.
We usually get mine and the hubby’s food from Flame Tree BBQ and carry the tray to Restaurantosaurous. (we like the BBQ, the kids don’t…it is a bit of a trek, though) Then one of us will order the kids food at Restaurantosaurous while the other finds a table. We’ve done this at least 3 times. We’ve never gotten our food in a pail…maybe that’s a new option? I agree that it is nice simply because it is cool and really big inside-lots of seats. We have 6 kids, so this makes it fairly easy for us to find a table…most of the time! We have actually all eaten there, too, and the food is typical counter service fare.
The food here was decent for being counter-service. It had a cool atmosphere and was air-conditioned. Animal Kingdom is a park with a limited amount of shade, especially in Dino-Land. FInding air-conditioning to cool down in is an absolute must. Plus, if you have older and younger kids, it’s fairly close to Dinosaur the ride and you can wait with younger kids in the restaurant.
THE VEGETARIAN OPTION IS BY FAR THE BEST!
We enjoyed it. My daughter loved getting her meal in the sand pail.
That would be really fun :)
