We have a great memory of just sitting down on the curb after the fireworks, Illuminations, one night and having a drink and snack. It was very crowded but my whole family just loved the setting and friendly service. The fish n chips are are also something you should try if you haven’t.
We loved it! Sat outside, and had a wonderful time!
My favorite Disney memory was from our dinner at Rose & Crown. We told them it was my birthday, and they made sure we got a table outside. Our reservations were at 7:30, and we told our server, Sarah, up-front that we planned on staying for the fireworks. We ordered a couple of the more “traditional” options (at the recommendation of our server) and split them. (It was way out of my comfort zone, but I really enjoyed trying different things!) Sarah was from England, and was probably the best Cast Member we’ve ever encountered. As things started to slow down, she spent some time chatting with us about where she’s from, and some of the differences of being in America. She did a great job of spacing out our meal so that we were just finishing up and enjoying some drinks when the fireworks started. The fireworks from the patio were AMAZING!! We definitely plan on making this our “Date Night” meal again on our next trip!
Ask to be seated outside when you go. It is beautiful and the food is some of the best available in Disney! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We thought we would be disappointed when we went there with our 5 and 4 year old a couple years back as it had been a LONG day and it was super busy there. We requested to be seated outside (to watch the fireworks) and they were very accommodating and made sure we got seated outside. The waiter even helped us to “stick around” as we were very close to being booted out right when the fireworks started!
I’m trying to get reservations here, too, for our November trip. It is table service. Good luck!
This restaurant is excellent the fish and chips dinner is so great. The serve is excellent. If you make aa reservation during the fireworks show you will have great seats to see the show which is on the water. If you do not want dinner have desert and you will have perfect seats for the show.
I really want to eat at the Rose & Crown on our trip in December! I’ve been trying to make reservations every day since dining reservations opened up, but according to the representative at Disney dining it hasn’t loaded in the system yet?
But as far as I know the dining room takes a table service credit.
You can also make reservations online. Thats how I made all of mine for this past April and had no problems at all.
My husband and I ate in the dining room on our honeymoon last year and it was AWFUL! It was the only restaurant we were disappointed with throughout the whole property. The service was terrible and they just could not get our steaks right. The fish was too breaded, which made the small piece even smaller.
My husband and I ate here on the first night of our honeymoon. We got a table that was right off of the lake at sunset. The Scotch Egg and Cheese platter are fantastic appetizers. If you can swing it you need to try the steak and fish and chips as entrees. The staff at this restaurant are so charming. We can not wait until we go back. One of our WDW favorites. :)
Rose and Crown Dining room is table service that has a full menu of pub fare and beers/drinks. They have a small stand outside called the Rose and Crown Pub that serves fish n chips that is counter service.
Ah, that explains why I was so confused. Thanks Emily!
Anytime!! R&C is one of our favorite spots for “Happy” Hour!!!
We have reservations as Rose and Crown Pub. I thought that it took off one table service. If not we best be booking another table service!!! :)
Their Cottage Pie and Jaffa Tarts are sooooo good! Definitely one of my favorite Epcot restaurants!
