Wondering how to charge your cell phone at Walt Disney World Orlando? This Walt Disney World Tip goes out to those people you see sitting next to an electrical outlet charging their cell phones. (That was me on our last trip)
Nothing is more frustrating than trying to take a picture, video, post a tweet, or message on Facebook and having a low battery. I can’t tell you how many times on our last trip I was hunting for a outlet to charge my cell phone, camera, and video camera. Any downtime I had I was charging…
We have a funny picture of me sitting outside the bathroom near Thunder Mountain cleaning out my travel bag and charging my cell phone. A lot of the Disney Cast Members gave me funny looks but nobody stopped me.
Well there are several options you can do to Stay Charged:
- You can buy a secondary Battery. I like using a website called Cell Phone Shop. They have EXCELLENT prices and i have ordered from them for years. Just swap batteries when your low and keep spares in your pocket.
- You can get a portable Cell Phone Charger Kit, from Solar to Battery Operated there are so many choices. Just find one that works for you. I am now using a Energizer Rapid Charger I can carry around with me. They have all different plugs so you can charge via USB, Mini USB, Etc.
- or do what I do pop a squat at your nearest outlet and wait for your electrical device to get some life.
Whatever way you go be sure to keep an eye on that portable device. After the first couple of days you will have an idea how long it will stay charged. Also you will find yourself using it less and less the longer you are there so be sure to pace yourself. You don’t have to get everything the first day.
Well I hope this quick tip helps. Let me know your Quick Tip for staying charged in the comment section below.

You can drop your phone off at guest relations with a cord and they will charge it for free. Just make sure to bring your charger!
Turning off your camera between shots lengthens your battery life immensely. I have never missed a shot because I had to turn my camera on. My camera uses AA batteries and I can make it through two or three days of photos (and I take a lot of them) on a single set of batteries! Grins!
