If you are looking for Disney World Souvenirs that you can enjoy for many years to come, check out the silhouette and caricature portraits. The silhouette stations are located on Main Street, in Liberty Square, in France and in Disney Springs. Prices run $12 per person and the frame is an extra $10. You get 2 copies of the silhouette for this price (one is a mirrored copy).
The caricature portrait stations are located in Liberty Square (with the silhouette station), in Hollywood Studios across from The Brown Derby, at Animal Kingdom near the Tree of Life and in Disney Springs located between Ghirardelli and Marketplace Co-op. We paid $35 for the framed caricature portrait we made on our trip in January 2011.
We’ve had the silhouettes made twice and I absolutely adore them..
My daughter had a little mermaid themed caricature done in the lobby at Pop Century our last night at Disney. It turned out amazing! What a great one-of-kind suvenior – well worth it! Lots of people stopped to watch it being created and resulted in quite a bit more business for the artist that night!
We do silhouettes of our kids every time we go to Disneyland. Our first one is of our oldest child at 6 months and our last one was of our 4 kids in January (we now have 7 of these on our bedroom wall). I love to look at them and see how my kids have grown. They do an amazing job.
Love the silhouettes! I will definitely have to consider putting this on our list for the next Dworld trip!
This is a great tip Kristin. I had silhouettes done for both kids and we will forever treasure them. Disney has some quality souvenirs. You just need to look around. My kids also have their names done in asian symbolism. Another beautiful gift.
