If you are interested in purchasing into the Disney Vacation Club, tours at Walt Disney World are available. Just stop by any DVC information kiosk, call the front desk or call 1-888-292-5448 to schedule your tour. They will pick you up at the resort or one of the parks in one of the red DVC van to take you to Saratoga Springs Resort for your tour. After the tour (usually lasts around 30-45 minutes), your family will be treated to ice cream in the parlor before being whisked away to any Disney Resort or park. Plus they will even provide childcare for your kids while you enjoy the tour.
The current incentive for taking the tour is 3 bonus Fastpass+ for each Guest (including kids)!
Just for taking the tour, each member of your family is usually given 3 Fastpas+ reservations on your MagicBand. You redeem these by visiting the attraction of your choice and tapping your band. You do not schedule an arrival time like you do with normal Fastpass+.
- Disney FastPass+ service given as part of this offer is not usable at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, Frozen Ever After, Toy Story Mania!, The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic, Character greeting experiences, parade viewings or fireworks viewings.

Check out what my reader Katrina had to say:
On our last trip to Disney World, we decided to do a DVC tour. Since we needed to move from Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge, we had the DVC van pick us up at 8 am at Pop Century. We arrived at Saratoga Springs and where we had a personalized tour of the DVC (they had a room set up like the Animal Kingdom Lodge and a room set up like Aulani)! After hearing her spill, we told her that we weren’t ready to purchase just yet (it was haggle free). She still gave us each an instant Fastpass card good for up to 3 rides!
We then stopped by the ice cream parlor for a FREE scoop of icecream before boarding the DVC van that took us back to Wilderness Lodge. The entire process took 1 hour and 15 minutes and we learned a ton! We were able to redeem our card later that day for 2 instant rides on Kali River Rapids and then the next day we used it to instantly ride Soarin!

Tour length is generally 60-90 minutes and fast passes are not always offered. PLEASE only go on a DVC tour if you are interested in a membership!!
Has anyone ever took a tour of the Disney Hilton Head resort? We will be in HH this weekend and wanted to see the resort?
Thanks!
We were staying at the All Star Movie and were eating breakfast at Chef Mickey when we saw a sign advertising DVC. I wanted to see the tour but I did not want to loose my time in the park. So I was glad to get the fast passes, I feel it did make up the time we spent on the tour. My kids gave us a hard time when it was time to leave because they were having fun in the child care and wanted to stay. It was low pressure. We fell in love with the rooms but did not have the money at the time. So two year later we found a very small resale contract that we could pay cash for. We have added another small contract since then. We have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kindgdom Lodge and are so glad we took the tour.
I am totally going to make my husband do this next time we visit. We have never stayed anywhere above a moderate and I would like to see what the DVC properties have to offer. I really want to buy into DVC and am coming up with a strategy for “Couponing to DVC!” As Kelly said, I will definitely buy through resale instead of Disney, as it is nearly half the cost.
Oh that is awesome to hear about the buying out of disney. We sat through the spill on the ship we didnt get anything though. I couldnt afford what disney was selling but now i will look into buying someone elses..thanks for that inforamtion
This is a great option to learn more about DVC, and to explore a little more of Disney!
I took the tour in 2009. I just wanted to let you know there is a minimum age for child care. I want to say it’s for 3 and up but I might be wrong. My son was 10 months and too young, that’s all I remember!
We also got a reusable bag with the DVC logo and a Disney gift card. For some reason they were only offering that for people staying in Old Key West. There was an ad in our room saying to take the tour and ge a gift card.
It really is low pressure, we asked a lot of questions because we knew we were going to buy (by resale- not through Disney). But we showed a lot of interest and the sales guy never even called us to follow up. Which is great, I hate high pressure.
