Wondering how to buy cheap one day Disney Park ticket? Well that’s hard. Walt Disney World doesn’t want you to just go for one day, so they make their one day tickets outrageous. The longer your ticket is for, the cheaper it is per day.
A one day ticket for an adult is $97-$114 at the gate depending on the dates you plan to visit.
Authorized Disney ticket sellers like Undercover Tourist don’t even offer a 1 day option. However their muli-day tickets are cheaper than Disney’s prices.
There are timeshares that offer one day tickets if you are interested in sitting through one of them for your tickets. However there are many that are not legit and it might be a waste of time.
Don’t fall for the scams as you drive down to Walt Disney World that advertise free or cheap tickets. You will only be out time, energy and money.
Buying tickets online from people on Ebay or Craigslist is risky business. If they were already used at Disney and they are selling days left, there is a chance that you will get rejected at Disney and not be allowed to use them. I would not risk it.
If you are going to Disney in the fall or during Christmas, they do have the 2 parties: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Tickets are around $80. These tickets will let you into the Magic Kingdom in the evening for the party starting at 4 pm. Most rides are operating at this time, so that is an option.

Check with your company for corporate rates, especially if the company sponsors something in the park. Several years ago when the Test Track (presented by Chevrolet) was built my husband worked at GM and we were able to get corporate rate tickets. It was a bit of a hassle (copies of his corporate badge and other other paperwork was needed) but worth it.
It’s tough to find any legitimate discounts on 1-day Disney tickets, but if you end up wanting to stick around for multiple days, you can generally get discounts on multi-day tickets. I purchased tickets from and had them shipped. I think you can also have them delivered to your hotel, or you can pick them up at an information center. You can also try sitting through a timeshare tour for free tickets, but I personally would rather pay for the tickets at that point!
I was in Orlando, FL for a work conference and they told us we could call this special number to get tickets for Disney after 4pm. It was perfect because we had been to Disney World and I love Disney but we had never been to Universal so we had already purchased one day ticket to Universal for my birthday because I love Harry Potter too. But I still wanted to see MK fireworks for one night on my visit. I called and was able to get a one day pass after 4pm for about $50. It was part of my birthday gift to me. I printed out the receipt they sent to my email. I arrived at MK around 3:30 and got my ticket at the ticket booths. They told me I could not enter until 4pm. My husband went with friends and was already in the park….he walked up to the front and waited with me as we just chatted with the fence between us. They let me in about 5 minutes until 4pm. It was great. We were able to spend the evening with our friends riding a few rides and then we watched the fireworks. It was also our anniversary and it made it even more magical. You can only get the after 4pm ticket if you are going to a conference in central FL area.
If you are military, you can go to the “swap” or “co-op” or something like that and buy tickets for cheap! My Aunt did that for us last time we went to Disney and she got us a 4-day ticket for $89 each! Now, she lives in Florida and is retired military, so that might be the combo you need, I’m not sure.
The only catch is that if you have someone else do it for you, they have to go to the ticket window with you to redeem the tickets. But that’s just on the first day. Once the ticket is “authorized” (if that’s the right term), it’s yours to use!
We always use Kissimmee Guest Services, they are wonderful and will even deliver to you, this past January 2010 we went with our family of 10 and they were awesome and even gave us a free cooler filled with all sorts of goodies! Highly recommend them!
The holiday partys are great…however…you do have to purchase a seperate admission to the park in ADDITION to the holiday ticket price. So its actually 136.00 per adult and 121.00 per child to go to the holiday partys. We did the halloween party this year and it was fun, but not really worth the extra money in my opinion
Actually you don’t HAVE to buy both tickets… I went to the Halloween Party just a few months ago and ONLY paid for the Halloween Party ticket. It was about $60 for us, since it was Halloween weekend, but well worth it. The party didn’t officially start until 7pm, but they let you in starting at 4pm! {They kicked everyone else out at 7pm, you had to have a wrist band to stay} So we had from 4pm-12am in the Magic Kingdom for only $60! If you want to be in the park ALL DAY then you’d have to buy both tickets. HTH.
We attended MVMCP 2 weeks ago. It was explained to me that we did not have to purchase a regular admission ticket to the park in addition to the party ticket. While the party does not start until 7 PM, we had access to the park and attractions starting at 4PM. If someone wants to get into the MK earlier than 4, only then will they need a regular admission ticket, too.
In Florida, earlier this year (or maybe it was last year) there were cardboard stands in Publix that offered 4-day tickets (one park, one day) for $99. That’s $25 per day. Not bad at all!
Do you know if any of the publix still do that promotion? We are hoping to go for 4 days in March on a very tight budget. We live in MO and there are no Publix here…
I had the understanding those tickets that you find at Publix is for Florida residents only. Just a heads up. Looked into myself for we just moved to Florida and didn’t not change our license yet.
We recently went for a long weekend & only needed one day tickets. I found over on Mousesavers a link to the Florida Children’s hospital. For $150, we got two 1 day tix, a $20 planet hollywood gift card & a coupon for 20% off a store at DTD. We were happy to make a donation to the Florida Children’s hospital & ended up saving a little money on the 1 day tickets! :-) Win, win!
It looks like they aren’t do this anymore. :(
I would just buy a several day ticket and pay the extra for no expiration date (do they still do that?). And the bonus is you HAVE to go back! It really is an investment worth every penny. The prices go up every year but the happiness and fun are priceless!
No, they just cancelled that op. :'(
The only thing I can think of was already mentioned, if you are going down for a convention there is the after 4pm pass. The holiday party is always a good idea too!
this year i volunteered to get a free ticket. last year they were free on your birthday. i wonder if they’ll do a promotion next year. we had non-expiring tickets, so i have one day left (hubby and daughter used theirs up).
Wish they did the Give A Day Get A Day more! That’s what we did this year and up graded to the five days.
what about getting tickets through a place like AAA? i’m not sure as i’ve never done that.
If you are there for a convention, they have special tickets that let you in after 4pm. They were closer to the fifty dollar range as I recall.
once you get there you will want to stay away!
All you have to do is work there. ;-) The summer that I worked there, I got 2 free one-day tickets (that never expire!). I still have them-waiting for the perfect opportunity to use them. :-)
My family went to Disney in Oct for one day. My husband has a business trip in Daytona so we decided to go the last day of our trip, and we tried everything to get a cheaper ticket, I talked to several disney cast members and they said they is really no way around it. But on the plus side it was really worth it, our son had a wonderful time. He’s 1 1/2 and it was plenty enough for him.
