One of the biggest budget busters at Disney is the cost of a stroller rental. A single stroller is $15 a day, but a double stroller is $31 a day! If you are staying for 7 nights and planning to rent a double, that’s an astronomical total of $217! (A single stroller is $105.)
Disney strollers are also not very comfortable, can be hard to push and you aren’t allowed to take them out of the park. So that means that you will have to carry the child to the resort and a sleeping child can get very heavy.
Here are some ideas (besides the obvious of bringing your own):
1. Stop by Walmart and buy a cheap umbrella stroller. You can toss it at the end of your trip if you can’t transport it or pass it on to a family checking in. You can also see if the front desk will take it and donate it to someone in need.
2. Go online and chose a good single or double stroller from Amazon. You can ship items to your Disney resort in your name 2 weeks before you are due to check in. Disney will also help you ship them home. (Or you can just donate it)
3. Consider renting a stroller from one of the many different stroller rental services in Orlando. (Advice on Renting A Stroller From An Off Site Company)
