Disneyland FAQs Answered
FAQ #1: What are my resort options for Disneyland Resort in California?
Disneyland Resort in California offers three on site resorts. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, Disneyland’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and the Disneyland Hotel. The Disney Grand Californian Resort and Spa is the most luxurious of the three. It boasts 3 pools, a character dining location, as well as classic elegance and the Mandara Spa. The artistry of this resort is impeccable! For a more “classic” Disney atmosphere, the Disneyland Hotel is a great choice. The Monorail Slide pool, Pirates of the Caribbean themed rooms, and Goofy’s Kitchen make this a great option for families. Plus, Disney characters hang out in the lobby to greet guests sometimes! Finally, the Paradise Pier hotel is ideal for groups with up to 6 guests. It has a rooftop pool, as well as panoramic views overlooking Disneyland California Adventure Park. Your family can enjoy the Surf’s Up Breakfast here with Mickey and his pals! All of these resorts have standard rooms that can accommodate up to 5 guests. For me, that’s wonderful because we are a family of 5! Disneyland also offers a myriad of Good Neighbor Hotels, that often have Good Neighbor Hotel packages and specials.
FAQ #2: How many parks are at Disneyland?
Disneyland has two main parks. Disney’s California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. I suggest having a Park Hopper ticket when visiting Disneyland. There are so many wonderful attractions at each one, and this is a great place to utilize the park hopper option. Also, everything at Disneyland Resort is within walking distance. The entrances to the two parks face each other, and there is a tram that will take you from one to the other.
FAQ #3: What is World of Color?
World of Color is a 28 minute show, that takes place outdoors at Paradise Bay, located at Disney California Adventure Park. It’s projected on a huge water screen, and showcases famous scenes and moments from some of the most popular Disney and Disney Pixar movies. It’s set to a soundtrack, and is something your whole family will enjoy!
FAQ #4: What are my Character Dining options at Disneyland Resort?
Disneyland Resort offers several character dining options. At Disney California Adventure Park, you can enjoy Ariel’s Grotto. This is a princess dining experience, but the princesses only appear at breakfast and lunch. You can dine “Under the Sea” or “By the Water”. Both will be magical! Disneyland Park offers you the option of dining with Minnie Mouse and her friends at the Plaza Inn for breakfast. Each of the resorts offer character dining as well. You’ll find Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s PCH Grill at Paradis Pier, and Storyteller’s Cafe at the Grand Californian. There are many characters at these meals, offering you some options for photographs and autographs. Reservations are strongly recommended for these as well. You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance.
FAQ #5: How many days should I plan for a Disneyland experience?
If you are planning a visit to Disneyland, you’ll want to plan for at least 2 days at the parks, and 2 days for the Downtown Disney District. Also, Sea World, Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Legoland should be added to your list of “must dos” while in the area. These tickets can easily be added to your Disneyland Resort Package upon booking.
