Previously announced, Disneyland Resort parks were hoping to open on July 17th, however this date was still pending government approval. We now know the opening of Disneyland Parks will be delayed, as well as the July 23rd date in which 2 Disneyland Resorts were going to reopen.
The delay is due to the fact of State of California guidelines. A statement from Disneyland:
“The State of California has now indicated that it will not issue theme park reopening guidelines until sometime after July 4, given the time required for us to being thousands of cast members back to work and restart our business, we have no choice but to delay the reopening of our theme parks and resort hotels until we receive approval from government officials.”
Once guidelines are released we will all know more. Until then, there is no reopening date yet.
It is said that Downtown Disney District will still open July 9th, within the shopping and dining guidelines from the State of California.
