Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort falls in the moderate category of the Walt Disney World Resorts. It is also one of the most beautiful resorts on Disney property. What is the theming at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort? Coronado Springs is themed after the American southwest. It is broken down into Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas. The centerpiece of the resort is the Lago Dorado, a shimmering and beautiful lake.
What are the rooms like at Coronado Springs? Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has rooms that accommodate 4 guests, or 5 if the youngest is under 3. The shower/toilet area is separate from the sink area. And, there is privacy divider to separate the sleeping area from the sink area. They also have small refrigerators in the room, a coffee maker, and in room safe. Unlike the Deluxe resorts, the rooms open directly to the outside, not into a hallway.
What makes Coronado Springs unique? Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has a few unique qualities. Many guests feel it has a deluxe feel to it, even though it is in the moderate category. It has a ballroom as well as several convention rooms. Many conventions that take place at the Walt Disney World Resort occur at Coronado Springs. It also boasts a health club, as well as salon and spa.
How do I get to Disney parks from Coronado Springs? Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be accessed by the Disney motorcoach system. Coronado is less than 10 minutes from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and about 20 to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.
What activities are there for children at Disney’s Coronado Springs? First, there is a great pool, the Dig Site. It is themed after Mayan ruins. There is a poolside bar, as well as a 123 foot long waterslide. Next to this is a small child pool/splash area. Along with the pool is a sand volleyball court, there are ping pong tables and a playground.
