Refried Beans from Slow Cooker Pinto Beans

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs pinto beans
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. jarred minced garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 10 cups hot water
Instructions
  1. Rinse beans under water and place in slow cooker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients. Be sure to pick out any beans that float.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Reduce to low and cook for an additional 2 hours.
  4. Salt to taste and serve.
