Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team took to social media to share a first photo of a white rhino calf!
The animal care experts welcomed the newborn into the world at Animal Kingdom the morning of Sept. 8th. The calf was born to first-time mom Jao.
The pair is currently backstage bonding and nursing. Due to giving the pair time to bond, the calf’s weight and sex has not yet been determined.
One thing that makes this birth so special is the fact that White Rhinos are endangered.
