Frozen party decorations and supplies are still are still hard to come by. But luckily enough, it’s not hard to throw a Frozen themed party using the color scheme: turquoise, lavender, purple and white! We had a party on an 80 degree day but it still looked cool!
There was a LOT of detail put in to this party and I have a LOT to tell you about. Today we’re just going to talk decorations. You might want to check out my previous post on the Frozen character standups. They can REALLY add to your party!
Tablecloths, paper plates, cups, napkins, balloons etc, can easily be purchased in the appropriate colors for the frozen theme.
Here are some other ideas:
- Hang paper fans. Like these >6-Inch 6-Pack Mini Tissue Fans
- Cut paper snowflakes
- White Christmas lights. I used icicle lights.
- Check Etsy for printables. I attached character printables to balloons.
- Acrylic Ice
My favorite idea, are the spray painted branches. I don’t have a fun name for them, but I think they turned out great!
In the spring when I was getting ready for the party, and the red bud trees were blooming. I cut some branches (and managed to avoid bee stings). I found Krylon spray paint in turquoise and sprayed it all, branches, blooms, all of it. I put them in vases with some crystals and hung some of the mini paper fans from them! LOVE how they turned out.
Now, I will tell you, the blooms are going to shed. The branches I used were in full bloom. A lot of them blooms fell off, especially in transport. I was hoping the paint would help keep them attached. But I still think they turned out well!
But the biggest thing, and worth saying again, is color, color, COLOR. If you stick to the right color scheme and have a few well placed “character” items, you can bypass the more expensive party ware with the actual frozen characters on them.
Stay tuned for more Frozen party ideas!
Have you had a Frozen party? I’d love to hear your ideas or see your pictures!
This was my daughter’s frozen party a few weeks ago. The biggest hit was the bubble machine and Frozen soundtrack. http://legosandbabydolls.blogspot.com/2014/06/es-disneys-frozen-birthday-party.html
That party looks like it was awesome :)
I love it!!
Great suggestions about using the appropriate plain colors where possible instead of having the character/theme on everything. Those products are MUCH more expensive. Plus, using less makes them “pop” more where they are used.
Your party looked great!
