Before I checkout, I always look at the cashiers. I look for someone who is in a good mood. I find cashiers who are in a bad mood tend to take it out on couponers.

I agree with some of the previous posts. Young male cashiers are usually the best bets for me for coupon friendly. I think some cashiers who treat couponers badly are threatened by how much money we save & feel guilty that they aren’t doing it.
I’ve discovered a wonderful lady who is a cashier at my local grocery — she’s in her early 50s & loves to coupon. We chat & share deals while she’s checking. I try to shop only while she’s working, she’s so good!
I just moved to a new area and am just now getting a hang of the store I shop at Publix. I am now fully aware I need to check out the cashiers in my new town. I have had three completely different experiences with today being good and bad I had an ok cashier but slow with the coupons partly because the computer and other hers. I had a horrible person behind me and the cashier secretly said something about her being rude but I feel the cashiers should respect all of the customers not just one openly and one privately. Couponers deserve good treatment as much as the next.
I usually have a clerk or 2 that I really like at my “usual” stores & I always look out for them when I head to the check outs. I’ll wait for a coupon friendly cashier…so worth it.
I also have found that younger people are more coupon accommodating (although I agree that a grumpy cashier, young or old, should be avoided!). If I can’t find my favorite cashier at Target, I always go for the teenage boy (again, assuming he’s in a good mood). They usually just want to get you & your coupons out of there & push almost anything through!
I like to go to teenage boys. They seem to try and be respectful so arguing about coupons doesn’t happen as often.
Me too!! they dont even check coupons half the time!
OMG…I do the same thing! I always see who is really talkative, and smiling, and go for one of them. It makes all the difference!
