It’s been almost a month since my last article due to sickness/sick kid/transitions etc. but today I’ve got myself gathered back together and am ready to pass the baton of encouragement on to you. Ladies, we set the tone in our home as the moms and part of that means planning ahead in so many different areas. For many of us, we have the responsibility of planning, shopping and cooking most or all of the meals in our home. I have made a personal goal to eat out less than 3 times during the month of October and that includes lunch and dinner on the run. Eating out is a budget buster for us if we aren’t careful and plan ahead. That means that I need to keep my act together. I thought we might encourage each other here once again if we share our meal plans for the week. (Plan one, quick!) I shop my own home FIRST, then make my menu based on some things I already have. Then I shop for things I need last. This week we were out of town and I only had about 30 minutes to complete my shopping so I opted to shop at Aldi. My total bill was $73.00.
This is our dinner menu for the week:
•Chicken Fajitas
•Turkey Chili Beans
•Chicken Alfredo Bake
•Chicken Pot Pie
•Homemade Pizza Boats
•Hot Dogs
•Spaghetti
All meals will be served with vegetables, but I usually don’t decide what those are until that day. I keep plenty of frozen vegetables on hand.
Since my last post I have added $100.00 in gift cards to my Disney fund for our trip in February. I am slowly, but surely creeping up to that goal!
