One of the best kept Christmas Clearance secrets is Hallmark.
Why is it the best? First of all, their Christmas clearance goes on foreeeeeeeever. I just made it into my Hallmark TODAY, January 18th, when we are closer to Valentine’s Day than we are to Christmas, and they still had Christmas clearance going on. At 75%. It’s almost like they knew that clearance season was a lot harder with a newborn and they were keeping the fire going just for me.
Secondly, I’ve never had to fight with someone over a discounted roll of wrapping paper at Hallmark. I don’t know if it is because the clientele is exclusively nice people or because there just aren’t as many shoppers coming to Hallmark expecting slashed prices, but you tend to avoid the mad rush places like Target and Walmart sometimes see.
Thirdly, in the three years I have been shopping at Hallmark for those after Christmas deals, they always go to 90% off. And usually with a decent selection. A lot of that is thanks to ornaments. Hallmark puts the year on their signature ornaments and so once we hit the New Year, those ornaments get priced to move. You can often see cards and novelty Christmas gifts up to 90% as well.
My point is, don’t sleep on Hallmark, y’all.
Some fun decor that would make an excellent gift for your Christmas loving aunt or neighbor.
Always buy your wrapping paper after Christmas.
Sam the Snowman for the Rudolph enthusiast in your life! Only $1.75.
If I can’t make my own cards, then super discounted ones are the next best thing.
Seasonal collectibles, including some very nice ones, were also on sale.
I can’t be the only one whose grandma is obsessed with Snow Babies. Grab these on clearance to make Grandma’s Christmas next year!
Star Wars Tree Skirt. This is amazing. At first I thought it was a cape, but a tree skirt makes more sense.
If you know anything about me, you know I am OBSESSED with Hallmark Christmas Movies. And look, this one was on sale. In Hallmark. Mind blown.
This is a super cute way to keep all of this year’s cards when next year’s start rolling in. Only $3.75!
So many ornaments. And I wanted, like, all of them.
We have a love/hate relationship with play dough in my house. My kids love it, but I hate it. But even I had to admit this is pretty adorable. Perfect for your child’s pre-school teacher! $2.
Okay, we are huge Lego and huge comic book fans in this house. The only reason this didn’t come home with me today is that there were a ton of them, so I am hoping to grab a couple when they go to 90% off.
Two of everyone’s favorite Guardians.
This tie fighter was much bigger than I expected, and so cool. Originally $39.99, down to $10!
Waaaaalle. Okay, this guy did come home with me because 1) he is Mr. B’s fave, 2) he was the only one left, and 3) with my Rewards Member coupon he was only $2. Bam.
Precious Moments Mary Poppins!! So hard to not just throw my money at them and cry “take it all!”
Make sure to do a full sweep of the store because likely other areas have sale items too. My store had 25%, 40%, and 50% tables. Lots of toys and stuffed friends in these sales, including my fave, Itty Bitty.
I cannot wait to pop back in next weekend to see if we’re at 90%. With Toy Clearance riding the 50% wave at Target and Valentine’s Clearance so far off, this gives me something to look forward to.
Have you hit up Hallmark for clearance? What percentage is your store at? Show me your great finds in the comments!
