It’s a Small World is one of those rides that people either love or hate. My daughter falls firmly in the ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT camp and we end up riding it multiple times a day. Pray for me y’all. Seriously though, it’s wonderful to see how much she loves it and I spend more time watching her face than I do watching the ride.
The next time you are in the line, take a look in the water! Guests often throw coins into the water and you can see the coins as you walk through the queue. It can be a lot of fun to see all the different coins from across the world. We’ve seen a large golden coin that my daughter declared a “dubloon”, plenty of euros and coins from specific countries, which is just so cool.
This is one of the ways we keep our daughter occupied during the wait, although admittedly it’s often a short line anyway. She actually gets disappointed when the line is too short or moves too quickly now! Anything that doesn’t feel like waiting is a win in my book!
I’ve thrown a quarter in there myself! I made a wish – to have a baby (May 4, 2013) – the next month I was pregnant! He knows the story well and loves Small World now!
PS it was only this year we realized I made my wish on “May the 4th (be with you!)” and my son is a huge Star Wars fan!
