Are you dreaming of a Disney vacation? It is within reach, with patience and persistence it is possible to FIND money to pay for your Disney vacation. Finding money refers to money earned outside of your normal pay check, read my story now. I set out to earn enough found money for my solo Disney trip in 7 months (March – September 2019).
ibotta earnings:
The Game Plan
My goal was to earn $50 per month with Swagbucks. As you can see from the pie chart (and above) my biggest earner was actually ibotta these past months. I started paying more attention to bonuses on ibotta and they added up big, some even being up to a $20 bonus! Bonuses on ibotta are in addition to whatever money you also earn back on the rebates to qualify towards the bonuses! I also utilized Shopkick, Dabbl and Receipt Pal whenever possible to earn a bit more towards my trip. What is nice about Shopkick & Dabbl is they each other Disney Gift Cards as rewards directly. Additionally, I have been selling on ebay for 11 years and average $100 per month just selling items we no longer use/need.
Also noteworthy, while Swagbucks does have an app, it can be easier to navigate and understand the website on a computer when new. I had luck with the Answer App through Swagbucks and completing surveys on the go while waiting for my children from various activities.
Total Trip Cost:
Disney Package Total: $1,039.68 (5 Day, 4 Night at Disney’s All Star Movies with 3-Day park tickets & Park Hopper)
Flight: $329.96 (Southwest)
Total: $1369.64
Earnings
Swagbucks $300
ibotta $505
dabbl $10
Shopkick $25
Receipt hog $30
Ebay $500
Total: $1370
Out of Pocket: NOTHING, only spending money needed for my trip!
I purchased 2- $100 Southwest Gift Card through My Gift Cards Plus through Swagbucks. Both times it helped to complete 2 different Swago boards and I earned back 550SB each between the My Gift Cards Plus offer and Swago boards redemption. This earned me $11 (1100SB).
An Easy Additional 5%
I also turned my earnings into Paypal (through Swagbucks), Receipt Hog and used my Ebay earnings from Paypal to transfer to my bank. Then, I used my Target Redcard to save 5% off Disney Gift Cards to pay for my trip. I saved an additional $47.50 just by purchasing Disney Gift Cards to pay for my trip with the 5% off.
Needless to say, I am going home soon!
Thanks, Sara!
