The Walt Disney World Standard Dining plan is $78.01 for an adult and it includes 2 snacks (either a drink or food), 1 quick service credit (a drink and entree) and 1 table service credit (a drink, entree and dessert). I am going to show you how to eat for for less than the dining plan in Animal Kingdom without the dining plan.
Here is what your day could look like:
Breakfast – Dine in your room on poptarts, oatmeal (get hot water from the coffee pot or food court), granola bars, etc. Anything that is easy and quick to eat.
Lunch – Pepperoni Signature Pie from Via Napoli in Italy. Individual is $23. If you dine with a guest, you can split the large for $36. Order a soda for $3.99. Total: $26.99
Snack – Eat at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in Epcot and get Macaroons for $6.00. Get a cup of ice water.
Dinner – Fish and Chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop in United Kingdom for $11.49. Add a soda for $3.99. Total: $15.48
Snack – Order 2 egg rolls from Lotus Blossom Cafe for $3.99
Grand Total: $52.46
If you don’t drink soda and opt for water instead (we don’t drink soda so when we go to Disney World, we drink water everywhere) you’ll save $7.98!

Also, if you like Chinese food, there is a food cart called the Love of Tea that has a “lucky combo”… for 9.99, you get a bbq pork bun, a chicken pocket, an egg roll, ice cream and a drink… that was the biggest bargain we found all day – the food is actually really good and way more than I could eat by myself
I’ll have to try that one!
Thanks for the tip! My kids loved the food at the quick service place in China, but I didn’t even look at the Tea place. That sounds like a great option for me to get!!!
