The Walt Disney World Standard Dining plan is $78.01 for an adult and it includes 2 snacks (either a drink or food), 1 quick service credit (a drink and entree and 1 table service credit (a drink, entree and dessert). I am going to show you how to eat for under $60 in the Magic Kingdom!
Here is what your day could look like:
Breakfast – Dine in your room on poptarts, oatmeal (get hot water from the coffee pot or food court), granola bars, etc. Anything that is easy and quick to eat.
Lunch – Stop by Cosmic Rays and order 1/3 lb. Angus Bacon Cheeseburger with fries for $13.29 and a regular soda for $3.99. Load up on lettuce, tomato, onions and mushrooms from the topping bar. Total: $17.28
Snack – Enjoy a double scooped ice cream cone from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Ask for a free cup of ice water. Total: $6.99
Snack #2 – Enjoy a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle. Total: $4.99
Dinner – Dine at Liberty Tree Tavern with the Patriots Platter for $39 for adults. Yum! Includes drink.
Grand total for the day: $68.26 vs the $78.01 for the dining plan.
