Check out my reader Jen’s great Success Story!
After my first trip to Disney World with my boyfriend and his family in 2011, I was HOOKED!!! When we got home, I immediately started researching ways to afford another trip…like as soon as possible! I started by signing up for the Disney Chase rewards card, selling on Ebay, and picking up some side work. It was a start, but I needed something more.
That’s when I found Couponing to Disney. With Kristen’s tips, I quickly started transforming the way I looked at saving money. There were Disney Fund Deposits everywhere, I just had to learn where to look! I started with some beginner couponing, joining points-earning websites like Mypoints, Swagbucks, and Disney Movie Rewards, and downloading apps like Shopkick and Savingstar. By the time we took our next trip in June 2012, I was a money saving addict! Discounted gift cards, bank sign-on bonuses, even spare change…all straight into the Fund!
There are a few deals I’m especially proud of! I’ve redeemed $75 of Landry’s Restaurants gift cards from Mypoints and paid for lunch for two at Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom. I’ve also redeemed over $200 of Target gift cards from Swagbucks and Shopkick, all of which I used to purchase Disney gift cards. One of the most recent tricks I’ve learned from C2D is the bonus savings from Target RedCard. I just bought $150 in Disney gift cards for only $126 using discounted Target gift cards (found on Ebay) and the 5% RedCard discount. That easy savings is enough to buy a round of margaritas from our favorite World Showcase bar, La Cava del Tequila!
Since I discovered C2D, I’ve saved enough to help fund five unforgettable trips to WDW. Breakfast at Ohana’s, dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table, and the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party are some of the “bonus” bookings we’ve made with our savings….none of which would be possible without the tips and tricks I learned from Couponing to Disney!
