The Animal Kingdom has a program for kids called Kids Discovery Club. You purchase one of the Safari Journals for $10.95 at the gift shop. As you tour Animal Kingdom, look for the Kids’ Discovery Stations. Each station has a different activity and your child will receive a special stamp in the book when you complete the activity. When you have received all your stamps, you can turn it in for a special surprise.
You can also visit various locations throughout Animal Kingdom to receive bonus stickers for your journal.
Disney World is the Most Magical Place On Earth. Be sure to learn how to make the most of your trip by reading the Disney World Training series. You can also browse all the articles I have written in an easy to use outline. And if you are ready to book your trip, be sure to read about the perks of using an authorized Disney vacation planner (plus it’s FREE!).
We just got back from our first trip to Animal Kingdom in Sept and a helpful cast member informed us that we could go to guest relations at the end of the day to get any stamps we were not able to get. This helped us a lot! There was a guest member at guest relations who talked to our boys and asked them some “easy” questions about the areas they needed stamps. She stamped their books and gave them the surprise activity book. It really helped us avoid an end of the day meltdown so I thought I would pass it along in case it helps anyone else.
aw, man, why didn’t she get the last one? they should have given her the surprise anyway.
Sounds like fun. Are you doing it?
We did do it on the last trip and she got every one but the last one. :(
I think the Stitch Kingdom link mentions this- I think they no longer sell the journals. My kiddos just got a small passport for free at their first station of the day.
I can’t seem to get to the link about the program. Is it just my computer?
It worked for me. Try this:
