Oooooh friends! It has been a minute. How you been?
Where have I been? Working for that cheddar! After two weeks of money just falling from the sky, one day I looked up and the money was gone. Not a nickel fell on my little upturned face. So I had to get to work.
This is the part where a montage of me working hard for the money plays. Me, at a computer desk, frantically typing. She works hard for the moneeeeeeey! Me, starring at a survey only to be told, “You do not qualify for this survey.” So hard for it, honey! Me, answering the age old question: “click on the picture that is not a dog.” She works hard for the money so you better treat her riiiiiiiight!
And all that hustle paid off because this month I have nine cash outs, which is definitely the most cash outs I’ve ever accounted for in a single fund. I may or may not have been feeling the heat under my heels, since it’s is July and I need to have my trip paid off by August.
I’m also getting that feeling of sadness you get when the balance on all your apps goes down to zero. But I’m choosing to ignore that feeling and focus on my trip because boy howdy, you guys, my trip is SOON. Less than 60 days! The flights are purchased, the FastPasses made, the ADRs are ready to go.
Let’s talk FastPasses. We are doing one day at Epcot for the International Food & Wine Festival (our first time!) and one evening at the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (our first time again!!) This is a girls trip with one of my bests, a Disneyphile in her own right, Hillary. Hillary does a many a girls trip to the World because she loves to run so she’s always running in those runDisney marathons. This time she will br trading her running shoes for eating pants and she cannot wait.
When we sat down to plan our plans and dream our dreams, we noticed we had slightly different FP priorities. Which, duh. Hillary is a cool single lady, a world traveler always going after thrills. I am a mom of three whose biggest excitement is her weekly choice of what cheese to splurge on. It only makes sense that when choosing our Tier 1 Epcot attraction we both blurted out different choices. Hers: Soarin’. Mine: Frozen Ever After.
It was an easy compromise to come to: we’ll rope drop Soarin’, and then grab a cupcake at Sunshine Seasons to kick off our Fooding & Wining. We’ll FP Frozen later in the morning when we get to World Showcase.
While I’m on the topic of Epcot, lemme get some opinions. The one dining priority that was high on our list was Storybook Dining with Snow White at the Wilderness Lodge. We wanted it for our arrival meal, but weren’t able to get it until our Epcot day. Obviously, the day you’re literally spending eating is not the ideal day to book a fancy dinner, but needs must.
Luckily, our Rez isn’t until 8:35, so if we stop eating around 3pm we should be good. My question is this: what time would you leave the Epcot to get to Wilderness Lodge by 8:35pm? 7pm? 7:30pm? 6:30pm??? Next, which is more expedient: straight busing it over to Wilderness Lodge or monorailing to Magic Kingdom and then boating to Wilderness Lodge? Straight bus seems easier, but I’m wondering how Epcot buses will be with all the construction at Epcot, etc. Give me your best tips after the jump and help a friend out, wouldja?
Is it just me, or does seeing this make it all seem much more real?

YOU GUYS. I did work hard for the money, so hard for it honey, and the money treated me RIGHT. I did not think, going into this fund, that I would literally be within hollering distance of my goal. What’s up, goal?????? This is me hollering at you!
Stay tuned to the next fund deposit to see if I am able to conquer these eight dollars and seventy five cents!
Is your goal close enough to holler at? Are you going to Food & Wine this year? What do you think I should do about my transpo issues? Let’s talk about all the things in the comments.
