Hey hey friends! Has it been a week already? I swear, I’m going to tape a day by day calendar to our door and pull a day every morning when I wake up. I spent a shameful amount of time thinking Friday was Thursday this week, even after my family told me several times it was actually Friday. Don’t lie to me family! -Oh….wait…
We got our choices for school next month! There was the option to go to in person instruction or attend a “virtual academy” through the school district, with options every 9 weeks to rotate back into the classroom if we choose to do so. I’m very thankful and very blessed that because I work from home, I was able to put Miss Bongo into virtual academy, though it breaks my heart she won’t be with her friends- she loves school. We do what we feel is right though, no matter where your options and choices lead you! A SavEar, who’s child is also going to be doing virtual school this year, brought up an excellent point- there are plenty of savings to be had, especially in not needing to buy as many school clothes or uniforms, gas to get the kiddo to school, lunches at home versus packing or buying (ie, you’re eating leftovers kiddo, ha!)- and generally just less school related expenses. We already bought a fair number of items on her class list just in case, but really, can you ever have TOO many crayons? I bought a few extra supplies that I will still find a safe way to donate to the classroom that would have been hers- after all The Rumpus has been hard on people and any way I can help out, I’m happy to do that.
I’ve been able to pick up some crafting jobs, which is wonderful because it helps keep my mind occupied! Unfortunately our lawmower also broke so most of the money from my crafting jobs going forward will be going to help buy a new one. Sigh. Two steps forward, one step back. Or vice versa, in the case of 2020!
I’m happy to say that Crowdtap reinstated my account Tuesday! Apparently I had been deactivated due to an error- so if it ever happens to you with any of your apps, be sure to contact their help desk before you worry too much. This has happened a few times over the years with me, and I’ve learned to give more information that necessary in my first email. Rather than say “Why was I deactivated” or absolutely blowing a gasket, I say “I’m wondering if you can help me. I’ve been deactivated, but I follow the rules. I have only one account, I’ve thoughtfully answered the questions,” etc. You definitely catch more flies with honey and I have always been able to get my account reinstated.
Lots of panels, lots of payouts! Hooray for sites that pay out in a reasonable amount of time, am I right? I have one sporadic survey site I work for that will send me a survey and then won’t pay out for two months. That’s so frustrating and it makes it that much more difficult to keep track of if I’ve been paid or not.
