How are you guys hanging in there? There is a lot going on with schools getting ready to head back (if they haven’t already). We’re preparing for Virtual Academy, so we don’t need a lot of new things. It’s good for the budget, although I’m sad for the kiddo. Our school system is providing an iPad for her to learn on, thankfully!
I realized this week that we’ve been paying for Hulu Live (because of sports) for months…….with no sports. Oh guys, it was like a knife to my heart. I could have been saving a ton of money the past few months and I was too brain frazzled to realize it! I’ve been trying to give myself some slack- we’ve had some crazy things to deal with during the Rumpus. I went ahead and dropped our package down. College football allegedly starts back in September (at least my team’s first game does), so if things go well and if the season starts back, we can always bump our package back up. At least we’re saving a bit, that money will be a welcome addition into the savings account.
Our idiotic puppy has destroyed yet another garden plant (he destroys the pots, even when I put fencing around them). Poor Brussel Sprouts, I hardly knew ye. One a completely related note, anyone want a destructive- I mean darling- puppy? Must supply your own brain, he doesn’t come with one.
I have been rocking it with Ibotta here lately. I think it helps that it had been months since I was able to use it before they finally added Walmart Online Grocery. Since then, I’ve been unstoppable! Despite my earnings with Ibotta, I’m actually super happy to report that our grocery bill spending has gone down. We haven’t had significant shortages on anything and some of the brain addled shopping has subsided. I’m keeping an eye on what we have, making sure we don’t fall too low on any one item, because as Kristen B. says, you never know when the store will have shortages- so I don’t want to run completely out. I don’t see a need to continue spending a ridiculous amount more though, especially after (thanks to the mask requirement) we finally felt comfortable in running into Sam’s Club for a few things, like hamburger! Talk about a savings, it was a buck and a half cheaper at Sam’s than at Walmart!
I hit the threshold to cash out on CoinOut, but I have an offer to get $1 when I wait and cash out over $20. I’ve been torn on waiting- I like to cash out as soon as I have the option, but hey… a dollar’s a dollar. While I debate it, I still haven’t cashed out.
