There are lots of plans in this house recently. Now that Valentine’s Day is squared away, we’ve been planning our Super Bowl party. Party is a bit of a misnomer, because it’s always just the three of us, but we love to load up on junk food. We’ve gotten a little stale in our party foods, because it’s so easy and kiddo is all about “Junk food for dinner”- which is what she calls the various fried apps, cheese, crackers and veggies we have a few times a year for special occasions. So I’m back to the Pinterest grind looking up some fun new finger food (or toothpick food) options. I am thinking some homemade pretzel bites are a good way to start!
I have been in quite the back and forth with Ibotta this week over a purchase that didn’t get counted on my last grocery pick up. All told it was a little over $3.25, so that’s kind of a ton of money in the coupon world. Everyone I was in contact with was very friendly, but I sent the same pictures four times (because I sent everything up front and then had to resubmit for subsequent emails), then had to take a picture of my entire receipt, which amounted to 10 screenshots- plus I had to pull the products back out of the pantry and photograph those too!
It’s frustrating, but I know errors and issues happen. I’ve been lucky in that Ibotta has always worked with me to make sure everything was credited correctly and they did do that in this case as well, even if it took longer and more effort than I would have liked.
On the PMI front, I have a list of what we need to do from my mortgage company. Our realtor (who is the BEST) is going to put together a list of comparable homes in our area and what they have sold for so we know what to expect from our appraisal. Also, if our appraisal comes back low, we’ll already have the information where we could contest the appraisal. If we’re not close to what we need, we won’t spend the up to $700 on the new appraisal just yet and I’ll reconsider if my “pay off the car” fund will move to “death to the PMI” fund. It’s a lot like gambling sometimes, it feels like. Which way do I go, what do I do, which is going to ultimately work the best for us? I guess we’ll find out!
Let’s take look at my earnings!
This week I took in quite a few craft orders- some are time intensive and others are waiting on an order I made to come in! Hopefully in the next two weeks I’ll have some significant gains there!
My husband gave blood this week and the blood mobile gave $20 in Visa cards as an incentive! That was a nice boost to our fund, otherwise it would have been a much larger hit than usual!
