Kristen D Earns Dollars Week 7

Remember the two big paying studies I was waiting to hear back from?  I got into the smaller payout one!  I’m not mad about it, it will pay $75 and then I have a chance to get into a follow up for another $75!

When doing surveys, I try to do well thought out, complete answers.   First, that’s what the survey people want- you to actually think about the question.  This is literally why they are paying you.  Second, in big payout situations, the people running the survey will often come back and ask for clarification and follow ups, so if you try to do a junk answer the first time, you’ll just have to redo it, possibly with more work the second time.  Third- who do you think they will pick for the follow up: The person who says “Yeah, it was cool.” or the person that gives 2-3 (or more) sentences with specific examples of what they liked and didn’t like?

Gas prices continue to be incredibly low here, but we aren’t going anywhere- so I guess either way you look at it, it’s a savings.  I’m taking this opportunity to build up our savings, after other parts of the budget cover the overage on groceries, that is.   Right now we aren’t having shortages (which is surprising) but the cost of beef has gone up significantly.  I’ve bought some where we can, but we’re mostly looking towards eating even more chicken than we did already.   Oddly enough, I can’t find Diet Dr. Pepper in my entire county.  I don’t know why there is a shortage of my Diet DP, but we’ve gone through shortages on just about everything else at this point, so- I mean why not.   Thankfully it’s not an essential, although some days it sure feels like it is.
