Meatloaf is one of the easiest dishes you can make. Just toss ingredients into a bowl with the meat and bake. Here’s a twist on regular ketchup meatloaf that you’re sure to love.
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- ⅓ c. bread crumbs
- ½ c. bbq sauce
- 2 tbs freeze dried minced onions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Mix turkey, egg, bread crumbs, bbq sauce, and onions in a large bowl until combined.
- Spread out evenly in an 8x8 baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Top with a thin layer of bbq sauce.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
You can serve this with Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Zucchini and Squash.

We have been making BBQ meatloaf for years , we add some crumble cooked bacon (crisp} on top of the bbq sauce .
That sounds delicious!
Loved the meatloaf. It was the very first one I made and my family loved it. Thanks so much for the receipt:)
I’m glad they liked it!
Love meatloaf! Love BBQ too! Never though to combine the two. Glad I’m not the only one who still serves this 1950’s favorite… I say “We’re having meatloaf!” & some people give me the “Ew…” look. Poor deprived souls. More for me then!
Some people just haven’t had good meatloaf then. ;)
Kristin, I am loving this new cooking segment on your blog! Keep it up!
Thank you! :) I am glad you are enjoying it!
I buy a homemade bbq sauce from a friend of mine. He introduced me to bbq meatloaf a while back. The receipe is almost identical to yours. It’s the only way I can get my crew to eat meatloaf.
What is different about your recipe? Please send it and we can try it!
I just don’t put any onions in mine. I have one child that is so picky about food that I will do whatever it takes for her to eat something else besides hot dogs and mac n cheese. :)
