Attention Marvel lovers! Your favorite Guardians are about to make their debut in Disney’s California Adventure.
News coming from the San Diego Comic-Con is that beginning in the Summer of 2017, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (closing in early 2017) will be rebranded in to an epic Guardians of the Galaxy adventure called Mission: BREAKOUT! The Guardians are trapped by “The Collector” in custom display cases, while Rocket Raccoon escapes and is getting help from the Collector’s VIP guests (aka, the riders!) for help in breaking out his friends.
It is expected that this new rebranding of Tower of Terror will be the first anchor ride as Super Heroes expand in to the parks. The ride promises all new audio and visual effects and random programs that allow each ride to be a new experience, much like Tower of Terror currently offers, and set to music inspired by the movie soundtrack.
