We usually purchase those disposable advent calendars for my kiddo every year. If I am being honest, I purchase them the year before on clearance and then she just gets it the next year. Except last year I didn’t find any advent calendars on clearance. Ruh roh, friends, what to do, what to do?
I have been eyeballing reusable advent calendars for a while, doing some research on Amazon and Target- you know how it goes. I’ve seen some beautiful calendars for a billion dollars. I’ve seen some $30 calendars where the reviewers lament they can’t give less than 1 star ratings, because they are so shoddy.
I was starting to despair. We had just walked into Costco, when what to my wondering eyes did appear?
An Advent Calendar. A beautiful advent calendar, at a price I could stomach. This beauty is only $29.99 and the little boxes are surprisingly large! The doors swing out and reveal your surprise, it’s not a whole box that slides out (like some that I viewed at those other retailers).
Check out this picture of my calendar, with a Lindor truffle placed in there for size!
Overall, I’m really pleased with this calendar! I can’t wait to use it this Christmas season.
Do you buy disposable advent calendars, or do you have a special one you reuse year after year?
There are also some very cute ones on Etsy that you can fill yourself – especially good for treats for persons with allergies.
