Disney is full of magical touches- chances are you or someone you know have had a cast member make some extra magic for your family, whether it was an extra fastpass or a gift! I’ve had too many wonderful instances to share. I’d be here all day trying to tell you about how someone went out of their way to share tips with me or give my daughter little gifts.
We’re heading to Disney World for Christmas and it’s been weighing on my mind- we’re spending a magical holiday in the Most Magical Place On Earth- but magic comes with a price, dearie! That price is a ton of cast members who won’t be with their families for Christmas. Even those who don’t celebrate Christmas are going to be dealing with super high crowds, that will only get worse as New Years approaches.
A lot of cast members at Disney can’t be tipped. However, I still want to show my appreciation for them and the magic they will make for our trip. We have an article on 10 Small Gifts To Thank Cast Members and I’ve sent RAVE reviews of cast members and I always do give a heart felt thank you, but I dunno, something about being at Disney at Christmas makes me want to do a little more.
I purchased a box of 60 Rice Krispies Treats from Costco for under $8. I have several packages of holiday treat bags from last year (15 bags, retail 97c, but you know I bought these 50% off!) and I have several bags of Halloween candy- from this Halloween (purchased at 50% off and minus the holiday packaging).
So, for under $15, I am going to be able to make 60 bags of treats, featuring a few pieces of candy and a rice krispies treat to hand out to 60 cast members that make our trip special! Included in these bags will be a note from the three of us, thanking the cast member for making our trip and our Christmas more magical through their kindness.
Is this something you have to do if you go to Disney? No. Even if you go at Christmas? No. I have to stress, this is something you can do if you feel so led. No cast member expects an extra, which is why I am hoping that this will help make their day a little more magical.
