There is a trick to melting cheese on burgers the right way! I don’t know about you, but I like my cheese melted and stuck to the patty instead of just laying it on top like it’s a condiment. When your patties are cooked through, lay your cheese on top before taking them out of the pan or off of the grill and then make a tin foil teepee. In about 30 seconds to a minute, your cheese is perfectly melted on top and you can take them out of the pan or off the grill. It’s that simple!

I TURN OFF THE HEAT so the burgers stop cooking and put a lid on the pan. The burgers do not dry out and the lid is cheaper than tin foil.
