Here is a fun, quick, easy and inexpensive Mickey Mouse Wreath Tutorial from my friend Jessica from Living Chic on the Cheap! After seeing this at my neighbor’s house, I just had to try it myself. It looked so easy! You can make this adorable Mickey Mouse Wreath for under $10 and in 10 minutes or less. It would be a great addition to a Disney themed room or party.
What You Will Need:
Wide Black Satin Ribbon
Wide Red Satin Ribbon
2 Big White Buttons
Glue (I used Hot Glue)
(I found the foam wreath in the Floral Section. I used the 12 inch wreath.)
Start with your red ribbon. Unroll the whole spoil to make things easier. Pin one end of the ribbon to the wreath and start wrapping. Wrap the ribbon tightly and so it barely overlaps (to avoid gaps). Continue wrapping until you have covered 50% of the wreath in the red ribbon. Cut if needed and pin.
Next unroll your black ribbon. Pin one end just overlapping where you pinned the red ribbon. Start wrapping and wrap until you meet up with your red ribbon on the other end. Then neatly pin on the back of the wreath. Your wreath should now be 50% red and 50% black.
Hot glue your 2 big white plastic buttons onto the front (bottom) of your wreath.
Hang your wreath with the rest of your Back Ribbon.
I added my son’s stuffed Mickey Mouse for a little extra pizazz! I think this would be super cute at a Mickey themed Kids Party!!!
I decorated both a closet door and a Hutch with my DIY Mickey Mouse Wreath…both looked fun!
You could always do a larger or smaller wreath….you would just need to adjust the amount of ribbon used and the size of the buttons.
Don’t forget to PIN!… So you know where to find this project tutorial when you are ready to try it… and so your Disney loving friends can check it out too!
