Did you know you can recycle your ink at Staples and get up to $20 per month? Staples Rewards is free to join and members get back $2 in Staples Rewards for each eligible cartridge recycled. Limit of 10 per month. Do note, a minimum of $30 must be spent on ink or toner within 180 days previous to recycling.
Therefore, every 6 months I buy $30 in ink from Staples so that I can recycle ink each time I shop there! Recycle your ink in-store at the register when you checkout. Your reward is emailed to you.

Office Depot & OfficeMax has similar recycling rewards, offering $2 back with up to 10 per month.
