I am in full on purging, and selling mode! It all started with the cleaning challenge back in January. I have been working on selling all the things we not longer want or use. Often times you only make a few bucks on each item. One of the ways I have found to increase my profit is to reuse shipping materials. Anytime I get in a padded envelope, thin plastic bags, bubble wrap, or anything really that comes in the mail. I carefully open that package on only one side. Then add those items into a larger thin bag. Those bags are super flexible, can fit in small spaces, and hold a ton. Its kind of like my recyclable all in one shipping center.
This might seem like small potatoes. But those mailing bags aren’t that cheap unless you buy in bulk off Amazon. Thin plastic bags run around $1 for 2. Padded manila envelopes are $1 and up. Bubble wrap is even more expensive. If you are only making $2.00 profit and you have to spend $0.50 on a bag to ship it in that takes a fourth of your profit. You will have to use extra tape to make sure it is sealed well.
I do this too
