I have an almost teenage daughter and a top priority is clothing. However scoring name brand items every time she wants or needs new clothes is not cheap. Today’s money saving tip is teach your kids thrifting is cool! Not only can you save money, thrifting is good for the environment.
Above is a thrift haul from Winter 2019 picked out by my daughter from Goodwill. For $17 we brought home 4 pieces. On the ride home my daughter searched the retail value of the PINK by Victoria’s Secret sweatshirt. She said, “Mom, this is over $50 alone!”. Ahhh, the thrill of savings.
Oh, I love thrifting!!! I don’t know why it took me so long to thrift! I dress nicer now than when I shop retail. I also hit FB marketplace! I have outfitted my baby boy three times over plus a whole daycare load of toys.
