I told you it’s my birthday month, and I also told you how I am terrible about spending my birthday money on myself. Well, this extends to all those sweet birthday freebies that are hitting my inbox! You can use your birthday rewards to stock your gift closet with small goodies for cheap and free. Here are just a few examples of how I like to do it!
CVS sent me an offer for a FREE nail polish. I have absolutely no interest in nail polish, but my kiddo thinks it is MAGICAL. I’ll score a nail polish (up to $2.99 value) and stick it in the gift closet for either a Christmas stocking stuffer, or a little special pick-me-up gift during the year.
Kohl’s sent me a $10 off my purchase (no minimum) coupon. You can use this to score all kinds of deals, whether you are looking to grab a candle for a friend’s birthday or a special piece of clothing or toys- the possibilities are endless and you can choose in store pick up to avoid shipping charges if you want to shop online.
Target gave me a 5% off coupon, which will pair with my 5% redcard. I am definitely going to have to check in with our Target Clearance guru Kristen B. and see what needs to come home with me, with my extra discount!
Some retailers gives you a flat coupon- $5 off. Some give you a % off. Others give you a specific item, like CVS. Walgreens is out here offering me 10x points when I make purchases. Since they are on par with CVS prices, this would be a good month to buy anything you need there and roll your increased points into some freebies- from toys to candy, or even grab a card.
