This super easy savings hack will ensure you use up every last drop of your condiments! Don’t you just hate the little dabs of condiments stuck in the jars. Even if you use a spatula its often hard to get out every last drop. I worked hard for my money. The same money that purchased those condiments. I don’t want to throw my money away. Which is essentially what you are doing when you toss out a condiment jar with dabs stuck to the sides.
My solution to this is to add oil or vinegar to the jar. Shake it really well to mix. Then pour it over meat to make a tasty marinate. For jams, jellies, and honey I microwave the empty container just a few seconds to turn the remnants into a syrup. Hold the empty container upside down into a bowl of batter. It can be pancakes, waffles, cakes, cookies, or really any kind of dough that has sugar in it.
My favorite go to quick empty out that condiment jar marinate is 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, and 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. I haven’t found meat that doesn’t taste good with that marinate.
Great ideas!
We always add a little milk to the remnants left in a jam jar to make “milkshakes.”
