Recently, Disney World shared details on Holiday 2020 happenings for this upcoming season. We know the fun begins on November 6th with entertainment, food and more offerings. We also learned that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom & Candlelight Processional at EPCOT are cancelled for 2020. Unfortunately, we have another guest Holiday favorite that will not return for 2020.
Gingerbread displays will not be returning to Disney Resorts this upcoming season. Seeing the displays was a favorite activity of mine and will be missed for 2020.
Disney’s Statement:
Disney Resort hotels will also be decked out for the holidays, with their lobbies featuring iconic trees and other festive flourishes. One thing to keep in mind is that our gingerbread displays will not return to the Resort hotels this year. While we know they are a favorite of people taking in the holiday décor, we’re not able to include those displays due to physical distancing guidelines.
