There are 4 different areas of parking at Disneyland.
Downtown Disney Parking
The Downtown Disney parking lot has 3 free hours of parking. If you eat at one of the sit down restaurants in Downtown Disney or see a movie at AMC Theaters they will validate your parking for 2 more hours, so that would equal 5 hours of parking that you would get free. If you making a short visit to the park this is a great way to save some money but still have loads of fun.
When we visited Disneyland in June of 2013, we met up with some local friends at Rainforest Cafe. They validated their parking ticket and they received an additional 2 hours of free parking.
The main parking lot of Downtown Disney is located at Disneyland Drive and Magic Way. It is always open.
The overflow lot is located on Disneyland Drive near Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. This lot is open on demand, but mainly in the evenings.
Mickey and Friends Parking
The Mickey and Friends parking structure (it is a parking deck) opens one hour prior to the published opening time for the Disneyland parks. If the parks have Magic Morning Early Admission, the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure opens 30 minutes before Magic Morning starts.
Parking is $16 for cars and motorcycles, $21 for oversized vehicles, motor homes and tractors without trailers and $26 for buses and tractors with extended trailers. You can pay with cash, credit card, Disney gift cards, Disney Dollars or Disney Visa Rewards. You can also pre-pay for parking online but you do not receive a discount.
If you have an oversized vehicle, you should use the entrance located south of the Disneyland Drive and Ball Road intersection.
The Mickey and Friends Parking Structure has a tram that goes from the parking structure to the park. There are 2 cars on each tram (front and back) that are made extra wide for those in wheelchairs to get on and off. If there is no one needing that spot, they allow those with strollers to use that to hold their stroller so you don’t have to break it down.
You also have the option of walking to the park from Mickey and Friends. It is 1/2 a mile to walk and you cross 1 street. It is faster to walk if you are going to be waiting for more then 1 tram, so you may want to just walk rather then packing up everything to get on the tram.
To locate the Mickey and Friends parking structure (if you have a regular sized vehicle that fits in a parking deck) in your GPS, enter the address:
1313 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802
Make sure you take a picture of where you parked in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
If the Mickey and Friends parking structure has a long car line getting into it, you might want to consider one of the other 2 parking lots.
Toy Story Parking
The Toy Story Parking lot opens one hour prior to the published opening time for the Disneyland parks. If the parks have Magic Morning Early Admission, the Toy Story Parking lot opens 30 minutes before Magic Morning starts. I suggest parking at Mickey and Friends if you are going for Magic Mornings though.
The Toy Story parking lot has busses that take you up to the courtyard of the 2 Disney parks. When you ride that bus you are required to break down your stroller and have all members of your party will have to sit in a seat (infants can lap sit) or stand while holding on to a bar.
To locate the Toy Story parking lot in your GPS, enter the address:
1854 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
I have heard reports that parking is easier with less crowds and walking than the Mickey and Friends parking structure.
Pumba Parking
The Pumba Parking lot opens one hour prior to the published opening time for the Disneyland parks. If the parks have Magic Morning Early Admission, the Pumba Parking lot opens 30 minutes before Magic Morning starts. I suggest parking at Mickey and Friends if you are going for Magic Mornings though.
The Pumba Parking Lot has a white shuttle bus that takes guest to the East Esplanade.
To locate the Pumba parking lot in your GPS, enter the address: 1653 Hotel Way, Anaheim, CA 92802
You might also consider purchasing Disneyland Photopass.
